In the Upper Sandusky area there are a number of churches in nature-enhanced settings. One example is Wildwood Chapel. It is a smaller church beautifully nestled in wooded countryside next to the Sandusky River. Wildwood Chapel is so esthetically appealing to passersby that it is in demand as a wedding site. Downtown Upper Sandusky boasts some architecturally striking and elegant churches that continually welcome visitors and new members. Throughout the area there are beautiful, old churches with considerable architectural style and classic beauty. Local church expansion and new construction has added modern architecture to the mix.

Smaller, nearby communities like Nevada, Carey, Wharton and Harpster, among others, also offer services in such popular houses of worship as Nevada Lutheran, Carey’s Ridge Chapel Church of the Nazarene and Wharton’s Big Oak United Methodist Church.

Area churches remain busy throughout the year with various youth, adult and senior programs, in addition to Bible study classes and other group events. The Upper Sandusky Ministerial Association welcomes all to join them in fulfilling the purpose of Christian life.
